We are looking for a warm and dedicated CBT therapist/counselor to join our team at Norrskenets Health Center.

About us

Norrskenets Health Center is a complete health center with three branches located in Vittangi, Kiruna, Svappavaara, and Karesuando. Our branch in Kiruna is our largest workplace where we have medical consultations, nursing consultations, a rehabilitation department (physiotherapists, occupational therapist, psychologist, rehabilitation coordinator), as well as maternal and child health care. As a counselor at Norrskenet, you will work across all our units.

Together, we work daily to provide the best possible care and accessibility for our approximately 7000 registered patients. To achieve this, we are developing our working methods by finding new solutions and creating a good structure and efficiency in our work. Our primary focus is patient safety and quality in the care we provide. We like to think innovatively and to be close to our patients, even if the distances are great. Therefore, we work a lot with digital solutions, mainly through Praktikertjänst's own app, which enables both chats and video visits.

Job responsibilities

As a counselor with us, you will work with assessment and psychological CBT treatment of patients with depression, sleep difficulties, anxiety issues, and stress-related health problems in both group and individual formats. We work both digitally and on-site, allowing for a flexible work schedule.

Who you are/qualifications

We are looking for someone with CBT competence and relevant certification as a psychologist, health and medical care social worker, psychotherapist, nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or another suitable foundational profession such as behavioral scientist or social worker. Work experience from primary care, occupational health care, or psychiatry is an advantage. We prefer that you can work on-site with us, but digital solutions are well established and are also an option.

You enjoy your work and see the value of collaborating with other employees. The knowledge you possess and share is valuable to us all, and your engagement and sense of responsibility are prerequisites. You strive for good quality, positive interactions, and patient safety. It is important to us that you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts about the work.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Language skills in Finnish, Meänkieli, and/or Sámi are a plus but absolutely not a requirement.
